Yangtze Optics Africa (YOA) Cable (Pty) Ltd, is an optical fibre cable manufacturer located in the Dube Trade Port Industrial Development Zone in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.

Established in 2016, through the partnership of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) and Mustek Limited, YOA Cables has already positioned itself as one of Africa’s leading fibre cable manufacturing facilities.

We make use of a range of fibre optic cables, based on the environment into which the fibre optic cabling needs to be installed and for what end-purpose the fibre is required. Fibre optic cable such as HDD, CST, SWA and ADSS is used on a regular basis.

For fibre connectivity within buildings, (such as between floors or inside large factory areas) we make use of Miniflex which is a strong, rugged yet flexible optical fibre cable that’s suitable in a wide variety of applications.

Connectivity speeds range from 1Gbps to 10Gbps, depending on the amount of data throughput required. Our security solutions normally require 1Gbps throughput however, depending on the amount of CCTV cameras and other data, the throughput may require up to 10Gbps to ensure high-quality megapixel throughput from the CCTV cameras without compromising access control and other data throughputs.

In our latest project, we have deployed 2500m of ADSS aerial 48-core fibre cable to interconnect 17 dispersed buildings over a wide area. The interconnectivity between the buildings allows for CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems to be monitored, controlled and managed from a central point within the area.
